IMD predicts light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and gusty winds over Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, and Uttar Pradesh between June 13 and 14. Uttarakhand may also experience isolated heavy showers from Thursday to Saturday, offering some respite to the parched northern plains.
The heatwave is likely to keep both day and night temperatures above normal till Wednesday, pushing public health officials to advise caution for outdoor activities during peak hours.
