Ryo Tatsuki a former manga artist turned unexpected prophet is sending shockwaves through Japan and beyond with her latest dream-based warning massive tsunami in July 2025. Often compared to mystics like Baba Vanga, Tatsuki claims to have foreseen past disasters that eventually came true and her new vision is raising serious concern.
Tatsuki first gained attention in the 1990s for her self-published manga The Future I Saw, a work based on detailed dream diaries she began keeping in the 1980s. Her followers point to a series of dreams that eerily aligned with real events including the 1995 Kobe earthquake, the death of Freddie Mercury, and most notably, the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami that devastated Japan and triggered the Fukushima nuclear crisis.
Now, her most alarming prediction yet involves an underwater volcanic eruption south of Japan, which she says could spark a tsunami three times larger than the one in 2011. In her dream, the sea appeared to be “boiling with huge bubbles,” possibly hinting at volcanic activity. She also saw a diamond-shaped area linking Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, and the Northern Mariana Islands, with dragon-like shapes heading toward it symbols she later found mirrored in real underwater maps near Hawaii.
While no scientific evidence currently supports the exact scenario she describes, experts warn that the region remains highly vulnerable. Japan sits on the Pacific Ring of Fire, a seismically active zone known for frequent and powerful earthquakes. Of particular concern is the Nankai Trough, a fault zone where a mega-quake is long overdue and could trigger a tsunami over 30 meters high similar to what Tatsuki envisions.
